. The problem isn’t that your message is too long. The problem is the prospect has no idea why you’re reaching out. Before you send the DM, you need three things: A trigger — why now? A reason — why them? A low-friction ask — why should they reply? Because if you can’t answer those three questions, even the perfect script won’t save you. Here are 7 ways to improve your chats: 1.Short only works when the reason is clear. Under 150 characters → +22% replies Cut every word that isn’t doing work. 2. Follow-ups work when they add context, not pressure. Sequences with 2+ follow-ups → +42% more replies Most people don’t reply because they’re busy, not because they’re not interested. 3.Warm the prospect first.
Show up before you send the connect request. 4. Write like a peer, not a pitch. Sample openers: → “Saw your post on hiring. How’s that going?” → “Noticed you’re expanding the team. Curious what’s driving that?” → “Saw you joined recently. Settled in yet?” 5. Don’t personalize for decoration. Personalize for relevance.
6. Don’t bet everything on LinkedIn.
7. Always have a real reason to reach out.
No trigger = no urgency. Again here’s the Quick Start Checklist to get better replies. ✓ Keep DMs under 150 characters ✓ Use a 3-message sequence ✓ Warm the prospect before connecting ✓ Start conversations, don’t pitch ✓ Personalize with context ✓ Add email as a second touchpoint ✓ Track acceptance and reply rates Your outbound doesn’t need more personalization. It needs better timing. Curious… What’s your biggest challenge right now? Finding leads or getting replies? .Hi, Bestie!Consider this your sign: batiin mo na yung magiging client mo. Kahit simpleng Happy Holidays lang. Walang pitch. You just need to show up… lightly. Here’s why this works: Q1 is the best quarter. Buyers are already planning, budgeting, and quietly looking for new solutions and new partners. December is when they’re most reflective and most open. So instead of disappearing this month, try this: • Send holiday greetings to prospects who replied before • Follow up lost deals earlier...
