.Last week, got a lot of replies. Some of the senior buyers even sent long responses, which honestly feels weird on LinkedIn. The opener wasn’t complicated. I just used what was happening on their side. A recent post. A new event. A company update. Something they were already thinking about. That’s why I always prefer context before pitch. People reply easier when the conversation starts with something they already care about. If you’re not sure what to say, try this prompt this week: “Search for all major news about [prospect/company website] from the last 90 days. Look for acquisitions, partnerships, funding, leadership changes, product launches, market expansion, layoffs, reorgs, earnings highlights, and relevant commentary. Organize the results by date, most recent first.” Then pick one update that genuinely connects to your reason for reaching out. You don’t need to mention everything you found. One relevant detail is enough to start the chat. Question: What's your favorite way to warm up a prospect before chatting them? A. Prospect contents B. Company updates C. Not sure what to say Reply with your answer :) Kind regards, — Mary, your leadgen bestie Disclaimer: You’re getting this email because you joined one of my Facebook groups or communities such as SaaS Marketing PH, Work From Home PH, CaaSocio U, or registered for one of my webinars or freebies. Someone just started a new role. A company is hiring. Another prospect has been engaging with my content again. .Leadgent tips #92: Here’s how I open an interview call or discovery call with a CEO, or hiring manager. Before I talk about my service, experience, or process, I first show them that I did my research.
